Affiliate disclosure

Rhythmly is free to use, and right now it earns nothing from the links on this site. This page says what that means, and what will happen if it ever changes.

Rhythmly does not have any affiliate links at the moment. We are not paid when you click a link on this site, and we are not paid when you buy something after visiting us.

The links that take you off the site go to the makers’ own websites, such as “See it on Audio-Technica”. They are there so you can check a part number for yourself. Nobody pays us for them.

If this changes

We may join affiliate programmes in the future, for example with shops that sell record player needles and cartridges. If we do, two things will happen before any affiliate link goes live:

  • This page will be updated first, to name the programmes we have joined and explain how they pay us.
  • Every affiliate link will be marked on the page where it appears, so you can always tell it apart from a plain link to a maker’s website.

What money will never change

Whether or not we earn from a link, these things stay the same:

  • Part numbers and compatibility. These come from the makers’ own pages, and nobody can pay to change them.
  • Which products we list. A product is listed because it fits, not because of any deal with its maker or a shop.
  • The order we show them in. Where we point out one product over another, we give the reason, taken from our data.
  • Paid placements. There are none. Makers and shops cannot pay to appear on a page or to be shown higher.

Prices

We do not show prices. Prices change often and differ from shop to shop, so always check the price on the shop’s own page before you buy.

Buying the genuine part

Many shops also sell copies and “compatible” needles. Our pages name the maker’s own part number. Before you buy, check that the listing names the same maker and the same part number as our page.

Product names and trademarks

Brand and product names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to say which products we are describing. Rhythmly is independent. It is not endorsed by, or linked to, any maker of record players, needles, cartridges or speakers.
