Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Rhythmly collects when you use rhythmly.com, why we collect it, and what your rights are. It is short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Rhythmly is run by Gotame, trading as Rhythmly, based in the United Kingdom. Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Gotame is the data controller for the information described on this page. The data controller is the person who decides how your information is used.

What we collect
When you browse the site
- You do not need an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
- We do not set any cookies, and we do not use advertising or tracking tools.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. To see which pages are useful, we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or store anything in your browser, and it does not collect personal data or follow you to other websites. It shows us totals such as how many people viewed a page, which site they came from, their country, and the type of browser and device. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site.
- Our hosting company (Hostinger) and our network provider (Cloudflare) handle technical data such as your IP address and browser type. They need it to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks. This data is kept in server logs for a limited time.
When you contact us If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, the record player or part you name, and your message. We use your details only to reply to you and to fix any error you report. Messages reach our mailbox by email, and we do not store them in a database on the website. We delete old messages once we no longer need them, normally within 12 months.
To stop spam, the form uses two checks:
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs on the contact page only. It looks at signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser type, to tell a person from a bot. Cloudflare says it collects only what this check needs. Turnstile does not set cookies on our site.
- A limit of 5 messages an hour. To count them, our server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to an hour. A hash cannot be turned back into the address.
When you click a link to another website When you click a link such as “See it on Audio-Technica” and leave our site, that website may set its own cookies. It controls those cookies, and its own privacy policy covers them. We do not receive anything about you from it.
Why we use this information (lawful basis)
The law asks us to give a reason, called a lawful basis, for each use of your information.
- Running and protecting the website: our legitimate interest in keeping the site reliable and secure.
- Counting visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages help people. No personal data is collected for this.
- Replying to your messages: our legitimate interest in answering you.
- Spam checks on the contact form (Turnstile and the hourly limit): our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing.
Who we share it with
We share it only with the service providers that help run the site:
- Hostinger, for website hosting and the contact form
- Cloudflare, for content delivery, security, spam protection and cookie-free analytics
- Our email provider, for the messages you send us
Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you,
- ask us to correct it or delete it,
- object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it.
To use any of these rights, email . We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you go to the ICO.
Cookies and browser storage
Our site sets no cookies. This is everything it stores in your browser or runs on a page:
| Name | Type | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
rhythmly_contact_draft |
Session storage (not a cookie) | Rhythmly | Keeps what you typed in the contact form, so it is not lost if sending fails. Stays on your device and is never sent to us. | Deleted once your message is sent, or when you close the tab |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Spam check (no cookies) | Cloudflare | Runs on the contact page only, to tell a person from a bot before a message is sent. | Only while the contact page is open |
Websites you visit through our links set their own cookies under their own policies.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not aimed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding a newsletter or a new tool, we will update this page.
