Ortofon Record Player Needles by Part Number

Ortofon calls its replacement needles "Stylus" followed by the name of the cartridge they belong to. The 2M Red cartridge takes the Ortofon Stylus 2M Red, and the OM 5E takes the Ortofon Stylus 5E.

Needles in one range share a cartridge body, which makes upgrades simple. An OM cartridge can move up from the Stylus 5E to the Stylus 10, 20, 30 or 40, and a 2M Red can take the Stylus 2M Blue. The Concorde Music needles step up the same way, from Red to Blue to Bronze.
